William Butler Yeats, a poet crying with his heart.

The Isle of Lily White

    The Isle of Lily White

I will arise and go now, and go deep into my heart,
An eternal isle sleeping there, of mercy and blessing made.
Flocks of swans will I have there, a lily of only-you,
And stay alone, murmuring to its blooming my love.

And I shall seek her shadow there, for she comes so myth,
Smiling among the flying swans and leaving like a gentle breeze.
There dream's all a sapphire blue, and hope's a flickering glow,
And my love a lily white.

I will arise and go now, for always day and night.
I hear my lily blooming in a slight melody and the air pulsating.
While I'm breathing, or the swans whispering,
I hear it in the deep heart's core.
